What's rising soon??

Well, another TVB drama of course. On 9Jul07, we'll see another new TVB drama release named 'Phoenix Rising' starring Sunny Chan, Louisa So, Leila Tong, Crystal Tin, Loh Fun, etc. The storyline revolves around 3 sisters separated at young and growing up with different backgrounds. Judging from the attire, I'd say it's a period drama set during the 1920's in Shanghai.

No trailer but here's some interview clips with the cast.. Interesting!

What's in the horizon..

As 'On the First Beat' creeps slowly to it's finale, it will be replaced by one of TVB's mega productions 'The Drive of Life' on 16Jul07. Total episodes will be 60 and a collaboration between TVB and CCTV to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover from the British rule in 1997. The theme of the drama revolves around the automobile industry. Besides the big budget, this drama will include some big name stars of TVB. Look at the pic above and you'd know what I mean. Yippee!!..

Let's cast a vote.. RMVB/RM or MP4?

I'm sure most of you would prefer to have your doses of TVB dramas in rmvb format for viewing on the pc. The clarity is a significant improvement over the mp4 format. File sizes can also be smaller. I don't mind uploading in either format at all. For those who own a PSP, you'd have to convert it yourself if it's in rmvb format though.

As for movies, I can only upload in rmvb or mp4 as well. Don't ask for avi/divx since the file sizes are usually very big.

So, comment on this thread and let me know your preference.

Anime - I would stick to MP4 for the moment..

All 32 episodes of TVB drama 'The Academy' is already uploaded. Wanted to complete the series over the weekend but could not due to problems obtaining episode 26 to 32. At last I manage to get hold of the completed series by yesterday. Hope all of those that haven't watched this series would enjoy it since it is a good prequel to 'On the First Beat'.

Since TVB series 'On the First Beat' is being aired in Hong Kong right now, I'm wondering how many have not seen the prequel series 'The Academy'? Video quality change.

I will be lowering the bitrate of episode 14 of 'The Family Link' just to see how the response to the quality will be. The bitrate of all the previous dramas, movies and anime uploaded so far has been 78000. Lowering the bitrate for each episode of TVB drama can save you guys about 80mb of file downloading time. Of course this will take a dip in video quality, but if the files are viewed in a PSP.. There's not much difference.

Smaller files may also mean a quicker uploading time. Please leave a comment in this post and let me know what you think.. I don't mind reverting back to bitrate 78000 for TVB dramas but movies will remain at bitrate 51000 to ensure a reasonable download size. Besides, most movies and anime are direct avi conversion so it won't affect the quality of the mp4 anyway.

Erratic blog behaviour..

This is driving me mad!! Blogger has big issues with the blog server. The editing menu is always messed up and error prone when accessing with Firefox. Had a tough time updating the upload links this way. Thank goodness IE7 seems to work okay with it. If there's any missing links or weird pages in my blog, please let me know. I'd like to check it out and try to rectify it.

Currently uploading another horror movie and new episodes for the tvb dramas.. Check back later. While waiting, spare a minute for my Google ads if you can. :)

More uploads done..

At last I'm able to upload a few more episodes of TVB dramas in mp4 for both the current series. Manage to bring another movie release as well. Confession of Pain is quite a decent movie with a convoluted plot. Proves to be quite an interesting watch just to see how the storyline works out. Also a big fan of Takeshi Kaneshiro too. Bwahahaha.. Have a good day.

Blogger server error.. Yikes!

The server hosting my blog is having problems. The blog can be displayed but updates are near impossible due to the layout screen being messed up. Lots of files uploaded but unable to post the links until Blogger sort out the server error. Will post again when things return to normal..

My second movie 'Protege' is uploaded as promised. It's a film well worth watching for those that hasn't done so. Too bad the copy I have has no subtitles for those who don't understand Cantonese. Now I will continue to upload my TVB dramas..

HoG Ep 12 - 17 is up..

Took me a while but at least manage to upload another 6 episodes of Heart of Greed. Enjoy..

Unforeseen delay..

A thousand apologies for those eagerly awaiting the next few episodes of 'Heart of Greed' to be uploaded. I had a problem with my net connection, Mcafee Total Protection and Megaupload. First of all, the upload speeds were not ideal and Mcafee Total Protection is a crap product to use. It's McProxy.exe was over flooding my virtual memory to 1.25GB!! Damn! Megaupload Manager is also not being able to detect my uploads and using the browser to upload to MU is a pain.

Therefore, I may switch to SendSpace for may TVB drama episodes and Rapidshare for other usage. Since I'm a Premium user for all three, SendSpace seems a better choice.

Please be patient as I will get the uploads up shortly.

Welcome to Chibi's Sanctuary!!

A warm welcome to YOU!! This is Chibi's Sanctuary and I do hope everyone is able to find something that you like here.. Will be uploading my TVB drama's, eBooks, anime and whatever I want to share. Currently watching Naruto Shippuden and Bleach as well. Hope to find time and upload them here.. Do check back periodically and see what's new.

Since I'm also a PSP fanatic, all videos uploaded here will be in MP4 PSP format. I enjoy having lotsa video files in my PSP when I'm out and about. Being a Cantonese, my main video uploads will be TVB drama serials from Hong Kong and movies too but don't be surprised to find other stuff being dumped here.
